The reality tv star speaks about her health in a recent TikTok video, advertising regular pap smears.

“Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi recently took to social media to speak about her latest health diagnosis.
On Feb. 20, Polizzi posted a TikTok video during which she revealed her diagnosis of stage 1 adenocarcinoma — a form of cervical cancer. Not only did she stress the importance of routine pap smears, she reveals how she’s struggled with “abnormal pap smears” for years.
“I’m 38 years old and I’ve been struggling with abnormal pap smears for three or four years now, and now look at me,” Polizzi said in the video. “Instead of putting it off because I didn’t want to go, because I was hurt and scared, I just went and did it. And it was there, cancer is in there. But it’s stage 1 and it’s curable.”
The New York native will be transferred to an oncologist, and she’ll undergo an PET scan to see if the cancer has spread anywhere else in her body. She later explained that cervical cancer is common amongst women.
“A lot of women go through it silently with anyone to talk to and they’re scared by themselves. And that was men until I decided to upload the video about what was happening with me,” Polizzi said.
She encourages others going through similar experiences to reach out to her. She ends the video by saying she will “keep attacking” and appreciates the love sent her way since the diagnosis.
The news came a couple of weeks before MTV announced the cancellation of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” the spinoff to “Jersey Shore.” Even though the show has been cancelled, the cast appears to have future projects in the works.
